Here at River Islands, we are always looking for ways to improve our community. When we discovered residents were waiting for over an hour for coffee at other local shops, we considered that our wake-up call! That’s when we decided our community needed its own coffee spot, and Minnie Jordan, a long-time Lathrop resident, and a gourmet coffee provider at events around town had the solution!

Minnie is bringing her brewing know-how to the new Islander Coffee Cafe, located next to the Welcome Center at 1401 River Islands Parkway. A place where residents can grab a quick drink or snack in the morning before heading into work or school, the menu features a variety of coffees, smoothies, and quick bites to eat, including a delicious new breakfast burrito. For those who are thirsty for something sunnier than coffee, there are several specialty drink options, like the always refreshing Islander Lemonade.
